Virtual Event: Navigating the Money Challenges of Eating Gluten-Free – Sept 21
WHAT: Navigating the Money Challenges of Eating Gluten-Free
WHEN: September 21st, 5 pm PST/ 8pm EST
Wow!! Have you seen the prices of food lately? If you or a loved one is eating gluten-free, you may be facing even more challenges finding affordable food.
What can you do? Well, here’s what we did!
To answer that question, we’ve put three gluten-free eaters—our panelists—to the test of purchasing gluten-free food on a budget.
We gave each panelist $100 each and asked them to see how far they could stretch it.
Here are our willing panelists:
Rochie De Sagun
Jordan Clark
Jennifer Bigler
- What gluten-free meals will they come up with?
- What challenges will they face as they shop down the grocery store aisles?
- What lessons will they learn—and tips will they have to share—about shopping and cooking gluten-free with a limited budget?
Tune in LIVE to our Fall Virtual Educational Event on Wednesday, September 21 at 5 pm PST/8 pm EST to find out.
We’ll chat with each of our panelists to hear how their shopping and cooking venture on a tight budget went and what meals they came up with for their household.
They’ll share what they learned about shopping and cooking with less stress and more joy, even while pinching those pennies.
Moderator Lola O’Rourke MS, RDN, GIG’s Education Specialist, will provide feedback about the nutritional aspects of everyone’s purchases and meals. She will also share tips for upping one’s intake of important nutrients when eating gluten-free on a budget.
In this session, you’ll learn:
- How to stretch your budget while shopping gluten-free
- Tips and tricks for shopping and prepping gluten-free meals with less stress
