GFCO PLANT REGISTRATION WAIVER* In order to register, the Plant’s Authorized Representative must understand and agree to the following, as indicated by their approval below:
1. The GFCO Standard, in any format, either paper or electronic, is the copyrighted property of GIG and may not be reproduced by scanning, photocopying or any other means. Electronic copies of the standard may be stored on a personal device, but may not be copied, distributed or posted on the internet.
2. Plant registration or Approval does not confer the right to use the GFCO logo on any product, and does not imply that the Plant is “certified”. Certification applies only to products, and can only be granted after applying for and successfully completing the certification process through a GFCO-approved certification body, and receiving a certificate naming each product.
3. Plant registration is valid for one year, and must be renewed annually to maintain the certification status of products.
4. After achieving product certification, GFCO will display your Plant Name, Mailing Address, Product Types, Co-manufacturing or Private Label manufacturing availability, Registration Expiration Date and Status in our Registered Plant database, which is publicly accessible. During the application process, the certification applicant will have the ability to opt out of any mention of your plant on the Registered Plant database.
5. GFCO will hold all information in this registration application in strictest confidence and non-disclosure except as needed to conduct business for certification. GFCO will not release the status of a registration application to anyone other than the Plant’s Authorized Representative and the Plants chosen certification body, unless authorized to do so.
6. The Authorized Representative must hold a position of authority within the Plant to ensure that the Plant complies with the GFCO Standard, and will act as the primary contact for the organization.
7. Upon applying for certification, the Plant will provide access for a plant audit for determining compliance to the GFCO Standard, including access to all documentation, facilities and staff involved in the production of the submitted Products.
8. The Plant understands that ongoing Product, Ingredient and Equipment testing is a condition of product certification, and that the testing schedule can only be assigned after the Plant is audited.
9. The Plant understands that this registration application will only be active for up to 30 days. If the plant does not apply for certification within 30 days, the Plant will need to register again before applying for certification through a GFCO-approved certification body.
10. The authorized representative has reviewed the current GFCO Scheme Manual and Branding Standard as part of this registration application. The current Scheme Manual and Branding Standard can be found at https://www.gfco.org/certification.
