Parul Kharod, MS, RDN, LDN

Parul Kharod, MS, RDN, LDN is a registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist. She works as a Clinical Dietitian with Outpatient Nutrition Services at WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Cary and Raleigh, where she counsels the adult and pediatric population for a number of health issues including Celiac Disease and other autoimmune diseases, food allergies and intolerances, GI issues such as IBS & IBD, diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease. She has a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition, and a Master of Science in Dietetics. She has earned a Certificate of Training in Food Allergies from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a member of the Dietitians in Gastrointestinal Disorders Group of the Academy. She collaborated with the Celiac Disease Foundation to start a support group for people with celiac disease and gluten intolerances; and has now expanded it as a support group for celiac and food allergies as a branch of the Gluten Intolerance Group. Having had the opportunity to live in India, Kenya, France, and several states across America, she has a global perspective about ethnic cuisines and diverse eating habits. She is able to assist people in making appropriate changes to their diets while still conforming to their cultural preferences.
