Our team is carefully selected to ensure your teens are not only safe and supported, but truly inspired. They are dedicated to teaching youth how to confidently advocate for themselves, cook with their family, and stay true to who they are. They bring empathy, expertise, and passion for fostering the next generation of gluten-free leaders.

GIG Staff

Devyn

  1. I recently finished a degree in Psychology with a focus on people with disabilities!
  2. I am an older sister, so I am there for anyone, anytime they need something.
  3. I attended one of GIG’s first Teen Summit events, and now I get to organize them!

Elizabeth

  1. I used to be a reporter in NJ where I experienced some of the most fun and exciting times of my life. 
  2. I really enjoy working with young people. I’ve taught digital media production at the high school and college level, training students and interns to produce and edit their own shows.
  3. I enjoy playing harmless pranks on people.

Channon

  1. I’ve been able to train with one of my heroes, Monty Roberts.
  2. I’m a mom- I can handle just about anything. 🙂
  3. I’ve driven across the country from NW to SE at least 8 times. EEK!

Mallorie

  1. I was a professional Barrel Racer
  2. I am allergic to sunscreen
  3. I used to be on a dart-throwing league

Marlee

  1. I love planning events and get-togethers with family and friends, especially if it gets us outdoors on a hike or on a boat!
  2. You can count on me to stay on top of details and communication. I’m reliable and detail-oriented in everything I do.
  3. Love to rewatch Grey’s Anatomy more times than I should admit.

Toni

  1. My favorite place to be is on horseback in the mountains.
  2. I have three kids and an awesome husband, Patrick, who will also be at the Teen Summit.
  3. I sing in a worship band on Sundays.

Patrick

  1. I have 3 kids
  2. I have played rugby in several different countries
  3. I once worked for the United Nations

GIG Volunteers

Nichole (Nurse for event)

  1. I enjoy arts and crafts
  2. I have been a nurse for 20 years and was dx with celiac 12 years ago
  3. I have 5 kids ranging from 10-30 years old

Matt

  1. My first job post-celiac diagnosis was working on a cruise ship for six months! YIKES!
  2. I am super duper and unapologetically queer, and can be a safe person if you need one  
  3. I went to the movie theatre over 70 times in 2025 (I LOVE the movies!)

Celeste

  1. I love to cook, garden, attend the theater and read
  2. I think kids with celiac are the strongest, bravest and kindest people I know
  3. I’m an elementary school teacher

David

  1. Loves to play softball. On two teams.
  2. Appreciates all the things that GIG Cares has done for Illuminata and others with celiac.
  3. Plays the accordion (plus some other instruments)!
