Dr. Alyse Bedell

Dr. Alyse Bedell is a Gastrointestinal Health Psychologist and Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago, where she directs the Psychogastroenterology program. She works with patients with a broad range of digestive diseases with goals of reducing GI symptoms using behavioral strategies and helping patients develop strategies for coping with their illness. She also has a specialization in sexual health, and works with GI patients to help improve their sexual function and satisfaction. She supervises clinical psychology interns and externs and teaches cognitive behavioral therapy to psychiatry residents.
