About Our Esteemed Guest:  

Dr. Guandalini’s major research interests are in celiac disease and in the use of probiotics in children. 

Mostly on these topics, Dr. Guandalini has authored more than 200 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He contributed more than 30 chapters to gastroenterology books and has published five books as Editor, including a Textbook of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition for Springer whose second edition is now in press. 

In addition, he has presented over 410 speeches at national and international meetings. 

Dr. Guandalini is recognized as one of Top 5% Doctors in the USA by Castle-Connolly, continuously since 2008 to 2021 and has been the recipient of numerous national and international awards, including the prestigious 2019 Distinguished Service Award by ESPGHAN (the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) and the 2021 Outstanding Achievements Award by FISPGHAN (the Federation of the International Societies for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition).
